Small SAL - February

Second Small for the year. I'm sorry to say I didn't enjoy this pattern at all. The pattern is from a book called Biscornus et pique-aiguilles. My sister picked it out and it looked really nice in the picture, but when I took out the threads it looked kind of... too pink. That and the constant stitch and snip drove me crazy.

To be honest, it's not actually finished. There is still some back-stitch leaves to do, but I just don't want to work on it anymore. If I eventually try to finish it, I will definitely be changing the green thread. But I won't hold my breath.

P.S. Please don't think that the book isn't good. It has many cute patterns that I've been wanting to stitch. It's just unfortunate that the first one that I picked (actually I didn't really pick it) didn't turn out that great.

Section 3 Finished!

Yay! One more section completed and more than half another done. 2 1/4 more sections of leaves to go and then I can move on to back-stitching the peacock.

Now I have to go back to my Small SAL. I have 2 days left to finish it. There is only back-stitching (sigh, more back-stitching) left to do.

Fleshing Out the Tree

Another productive weekend. I put in a good dent in section 3. I'm hoping next weekend I'll be able to finish the back-stitching on that page and finish off section 2.

Back to my Small SAL, sigh.

Leaves, leaves

I don't understand how stitching leaves can go so fast, but the back-stitching takes forever (or feels like it does). There is still some stitching to do on the right side, but I'm going to add in some back-stitching to make the last go faster.

Unfortunately I won't be stitching Peacock Tapestry again until Friday. I need to make some progress on my Small SAL for February. I'm having trouble with the pattern I picked (the color, the constant stitching and stopping) but I don't feel like starting over. So I guess I'll have to persevere.

A Very Productive Weekend

I've caught my second wind this weekend and made very good progress on Peacock Tapestry. I started Thursday and by the time Sunday night came around I had all the branches and most of the leaves in section 3 and most of the branches in section 2. Hoping it will keep going this well.

I've also started my Small for February. I had a late start, but it should be okay since the pattern I picked is small.
